Issue 02 - K Koke
This front cover came from pure chance, its funny to think when I went to shoot K Koke. I was the only one who didn’t know who he was. I was in the library editing what I had already shot for issue 2 when my close friend said her brother is on a shoot with him for ‘Nobody But Us’ I became a more interested as I know Mitch & Suave have interviewed artists like Wretch32 and I had seen them at some of the events I had attended. I thought this is could be an opportunity. Still not knowing whom this K Koke guy, did a little research and watched a few videos, he recently had been signed but had an interesting background story. I got my friend to speech it, when I got the ok called Sadie and we met up and went to Stonebridge. They had finished filming by the time we got there and were pretty waved. But we got some decent pictures and the interview so all in all pretty good outcome right? Wrong! The day before Issue 02 was due to be published Koke gets locked up and charged with attempted murder. We had nothing written regarding the charge and hoped to get some promotion from Koke as a recently signed artist who emerged from the underground music scene for this issue.
